Are you looking for a fast paced position in a dynamic sales environment?   At Gordon Food Service our customers come first and, as a Food Sales Representative for Chain Accounts, you will play a key role in exceeding their expectations by listening, leading, problem-solving, and delivering on what we promise.  And that's important when "Customer is King".

 

You will have the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service while supporting order and delivery interactions between chain account customers  (you know, those restaurants that everyone knows by name!), and Gordon Food Service. This role strengthens customer relationships through strong product knowledge and product application, delivery coordination, and error resolution.  This role is a great introduction to Gordon Food Service and allows you to gain experience within, and a better understanding of the food service distribution industry!

 

The environment is fast paced, with reward for success:

  • Hourly Position with Bonus/Incentive Potential
  • Schedule: During training typically: Monday thru Friday, and 2 Saturdays (rotated every other week) per month. When a Saturday is worked, the schedule is Tuesday thru Saturday. The hours are 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. based on the needs of the department. After the initial training, and when your route is assigned: Monday through Friday either 7am-4pm, 7:30am-4:30pm or 8am-5pm as well as every other week Sunday. The weeks where you are required to work Sunday, you would have the following Friday off. 

 What you'll be doing:

  • Answer customer questions and play detective to help solve their problems - you'll work with every part of the company!
  • Manage customer orders so they get what they need
  • Arrange exception deliveries  - we don't want anyone missing out on great food!
  • Help train your teammates; it makes everyone better!

Does this sound like you?

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required
  • Two years previous customer service experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Proficient with technology, including data entry
