Our sales training team works daily with our frontline teams to bring the "business perspective" into the discussion and align us to support our sales force through their work life cycle, preserving the culture that makes us unique. In addition, the sales training team in our Home Office provide the strategy, processes, and programs that allow us to develop a salesforce with high growth goals, looking to outpace the competition.
The Sales Learning and Development Specialist is the key organizational resource responsible for the design and delivery of sales learning content. Their scope may include selling skills, business and industry, and leadership training topics -- all integral to the Gordon Food Service sales business and critical to achieving our mission.
This position is part of a centralized model providing expertise in adult learning to assigned areas/functional groups within our home office (Grand Rapids, Michigan) and divisional sales operations throughout the United States. The position is located at the Gordon Food Service home office in greater Grand Rapids, Michigan. Some limited travel (up to 20%) will be required to fully support the needs of the business, but much of what we do is done virtually through collaborative meeting tools and eLearning solutions.
