Position Summary:

Installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to microcomputer hardware and software systems and provides technical support to internal customers utilizing Gordon Food Service (GFS) technology products.


Essential Functions:

  • Provide second line of support to internal GFS customers.  Provide solutions to hardware and software issues.
  • Install new software, hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives for customers following design or installation specifications.
  • Answers client’s inquiries concerning systems operation’ diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems, and recommends or performs remedial actions to correct problems based on knowledge of system operation.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned



  • Three years previous personal computer and peripheral experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Associates degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
  • IT training & computer certifications are preferred
