    We are excited to onboard a Customer Support Manager for our SE Division. The Customer Support Manager is instrumental role to our business that drive service excellence through leadership, strategic vision and collaboration.  See additional details below!

    • The opportunity to drive relevant business, culinary and non‐food solutions to key customers through the activities of the customer support team(s).
    • Aligns strategies and activities to complement the initiatives of the Sales and Marketing teams, with an ultimate goal of increasing the overall market share of Gordon Food Service.
    • Supports the planning and execution of industry, sales and marketing events, divisional sales and marketing meetings, marketing campaigns, and food shows that align with the long range plan and divisional goals.  
    • Determines and appropriately manages budget and expenses of the customer support team in assigned division.
    • The opportunity to manage a team of divisional customer‐facing specialist(s). May interview, hire, train, and retain staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff, initiating follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors, motivates, and develops staff and acts as a role model and resource to them. Develops succession plans.  

     

    What we need from you?

    • Excellent customer service, mentoring, interpersonal and communication skills.  
    • Must be able to develop, refine, communicate, and implement plans and to set and define goals.  
    • Must maintain knowledge of industry trends and be able to provide training on the technical aspects of commercial or non-commercial segments.  
    • Must have industry and segment knowledge and be able to analyze and interpret data.  
    • Must have good time management, administration, and organizational skills.  
    • Must be able to build relationships, network, influence and link resources to plan and execute business practices.  
    • Develops solutions to complex problems that require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation.  Ensures solutions are consistent with organization objectives.
    • Must maintain a valid, unrestricted state driver’s license.
    • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

     

    Leading candidates will have…….

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business preferred.
    • Three to five years previous food service operations, sales, and/or marketing related experience. Two years previous management experience.
    • Food service/ restaurant (FOH and/or BOH) experience desirable.  
    • Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Google platform.
