    We are excited to onboard a DevOps Cloud Engineer, Intermediate to our IT Infrastructure Team. This role is a new role that will assist teams to develop cloud ready application architectures and help automate integration and deployment activities. Developing automation tooling to support Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) while troubleshooting the software defined data center including network, compute, and storage services are key to this role. This role will lead the evaluation and specification of public cloud services and help develop domain vision and architectural strategy for roadmaps and projects. See additional details below!

    • Provisions, configures and operates virtual cloud environments.
    • Provides cloud configuration and deployment expertise to Gordon Food Service.
    • Writes and maintains configuration and deployment solutions (via code) in support of CI/CD needs.
    • Maintains and documents scripts and databases as necessary for domain management.
    • Manages capacity and plans for implementation of future capacity.
    • Provides reports on utilization and trending, optimization, capacity and other information needed.
    • Develops roadmaps, creates strategy, establishes vision and leads projects and initiatives.

     

    What do we need from you?

    • Three or more years of information technology experience (including software engineering, devops and/or system engineering experience).
    • Computer Science or a related field preferred.
    • Strong familiarity with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control, Git and SVN experience highly desired.
    • Must have the ability to multitask, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
    • Occasional weekend and overtime work is necessary.
    • Advanced problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions; and identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-making.

     

    Leading candidates will have…...

    • Experience with private cloud solutions, OpenStack and Kubernetes experience highly desired.
    • Experience with multiple scripting languages including Go, Ruby, Python, Perl, Shell.
    • Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or SaltStack.
    • Experience with provisioning tools such as Terraform, Kubespray and Rancher.
    • Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux.
    • Experience with build tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, Gradle, Packer.
    • Experience with automating build and release processes.
